It's that time of year when commercialism and corporate greed strongly suggests that we buy expensive and unnecessary things for our lovers. Yes indeed, Valentine's Day is nearly here. While it isn't my favorite "holiday", there are some really fun and unique things that can be done with flowers that don't involve a lot of cost. In this post, I've used some cute Monogram Mugs from Anthropologie to spell out LOVE. This would make a great table centerpiece for a stay-at-home date night dinner on V-day.
Flowers: tulip, ranunculus, anemone, hyacinth, amaryllis, calendula, geranium
Begin by dispersing the geranium leaves amongst all four of the mugs and place a few tulips in the “E” mug, allowing them to hold their natural droop.
Add the ranunculus to all of the mugs. Fill the rest of the “E” mug with both ranunculus and the calendula.
In the “O” and “L” mug add in the amaryllis and the hyacinth until both are filled with flowers.
Continue by adding the anemones to the center of the arrangement. They add a fun element as their black centers compliment the black letters on the mugs.
Continue filling in where there is any empty space with the remaining flowers!
