Winter Styling: Mistletoe, Poinsettia, and Rose

This past weekend a lovely client asked me to create a centerpiece for her holiday party similar to the one I have on my home page. As always, I was up for the challenge, and we were able to shoot the steps so that you can see how it is put together! I couldn't find the particular shade of David Austin Juliet garden roses that I had used last year (they have been harder to come by at the market). Instead, I found another shade and variety that is just as lovely, and helped dictate the lovely pink palette of this arrangement.

I absolutely love the different shades of poinsettia that are available this time of year - such beautiful shades of pink, peach, and cream - in addition to all of the lovely reds. I added these as well. And finally, what would a holiday arrangement be without mistletoe?! Does it get anymore beautiful than those delicate and glassy little berries?

Add the mistletoe. These will be the base of the arrangement, but you can add some more to reinforce their presence at the end. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com | Photography: N. Underwood / nruphoto.com

Continue with the euphorbia and poinsettia. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com | Photography: N. Underwood / nruphoto.com

And finally, I added the amaryllis and arranged all of my roses throughout the centerpiece. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com | Photography: N. Underwood / nruphoto.com
