When Apple Met Dahlia

Happy Friday everyone! I have to be honest, I have completely lost track of the days while on my epic road trip with my family. In a way, I think it's good, considering the fact that I am sort of a workaholic when I am at home. In any event, this trip has forced me to stay away from my real world for a while. While it has been an amazing adventure, I am really starting to miss my work and home (and dog). Just before we left, I did this arrangement with apples and bright colors. I love the purple and orange, and combined with the light green apple branches I feel they really have great harmony. I don't think peonies will be at the market when I get back, but I know dahlias are still going full force, and I am looking forward to using them.

I know I have been slacking on the blogging lately, but I will be back with a lovely Humans with Bouquets post on Monday!

I used a floral frog for this arrangement, as I wanted the apple branches to stay secured in the vase. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com | Photography: N.R. Underwood / nruphoto.com

I started with the apple branches, then added the pokeweed, euphorbia, and dahlias. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com | Photography: N.R. Underwood / nruphoto.com
