Unique Vessels: Salt Keeper

I've had this lovely hand-painted salt keeper for about a year - full of kosher salt - and I use it every day. The other day, as I was cooking, I grabbed some salt out of the keeper and quite suddenly noticed that it would make a gorgeous little box for an arrangement. Rather than dump out quite a large amount of salt, I stopped by Williams-Sonoma and picked up another one. Given the hand-painted nature of these boxes, they are all very similar, and yet not at all exact. So cute. The dahlias really add a wonderful splash of color, and I love the texture and asymmetry that the plums bring to the design.

I will be giving away the salt keeper used in this post. To enter, please go to my Instagram page (@tulipinadesign) and follow the instructions. One winner will be chosen at random on Monday, July 22, 2013.
