Unique Vessels: Funky Pitcher

I don't usually do two "Unique Vessels" posts in a week - but I just couldn't resist with this one. When I saw this funky looking pitcher at my local Anthro store, I knew that I wanted to do an arrangement in it (of course, it was an added bonus that it was on sale too!). My garden has been producing some amazing dahlias this year, so these lovely huge pink ones are the stars of this bright and colorful DIY! Have an amazing weekend!

Flowers: dahlia, hollyhock, apple branches, hydrangea, and garden rose (I think that hollyhock is absolutely lovely, and when I saw it at the flower mart, I knew it was a rare find since I hadn't seen them there before) Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Begin with the heaviest item - the apple branches Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Add the hollyhock (or any other similar flower) on the opposite side of the apples to create asymmetry Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Continue by adding the garden roses; make sure that they don't get lost in the arrangement Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Add just a couple of branches of the hydrangea. This hydrangea is one of my favorites because it has a very delicate look Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

And some additional garden roses Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

And finally - the stars of the arrangement - these huge pink dahlias Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com
