Those of you who regularly read my blog know that garden arrangements are my absolute favorite, and springtime is the best time for creating the most lush arrangements. There is just so much beauty blooming in every corner of my yard and neighborhood that it is hard not to be inspired. Shower tree and mock orange are in full bloom right now, so I had to do a couple of arrangements with them.
I really like the shape of these vases, but they can be tricky to do large and free flowing arrangements in due to the fact that their opening is not particularly wide. I knew that I needed tall branches and stems that would drape from the vases, and that is where the mock orange, snowberries, vibernum, and the shower tree came in.
Here I used only a few of each floral variety, but it worked perfectly because the stems were quite long and flexible, and made for a lovely free form arrangement. I added some color to my arrangement by adding just 3 roses from my garden.

I love, love, love shower tree, but you have to watch out for those thorns!!
I really like the combination of the shower tree and sweet peas. The sweet peas are sort of the extension of the shower tree blooms. The soft pastel color theme carried out by the sweet peas, poppies and ranunculi creates a very feminine, garden look for this arrangement.

Yours truly with her garden arrangement.
One can never ever tire of poppies, roses, or ranunculi!
