For today's post, it really couldn't get any easier. Pots of herbs look great, smell great, and are useful in the kitchen. I found some wonderful chalkboard herb pots at Crate & Barrel (sadly, they no longer have them online, but may still have them in stores), and picked up some of my mom's favorite herbs (2 kinds of thyme and spearmint). A cute little message written in chalk completes the gift. Note: Instead of buying special pots, you can use regular ceramic pots by taping off and painting an area with chalkboard paint.
I love Tokyo, and thought that the yellow was a nice complement to the bright green of the herbs
What you'll need: chalkboard pots, soil, herbs, small shovel
Add a little bit of soil to the pot
Remove your herbs, and separate the roots at the bottom
Place the herbs in the pot, and cover with appropriate amount of soil
