I found this amazing hand-painted Spanish jug for $5 at the local HomeGoods store. If you have one near you, I highly recommend checking it out, as they often have unique items that would be ten times the price at a "fancier" store. My sister and I love to go to HomeGoods (a bit of an obsession honestly) knowing that we'll always find something unique, useful, eclectic, or creative. This is an extremely simple arrangement - a couple of sprigs of inkberry (with leaves removed) that drape out and form the "space" of the design, and a yellow-orange dahlia and some blue hydrangea for color. The inkberry adds to the Mediterranean style of the vase by mimicking olives quite nicely. It would make a great outdoor summer centerpiece - just add some wine or sangria, tapas, or cheese and crackers.
Note: Inkberry can be messy, and will stain clothes, so use some caution when working with it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
I love both the colors and tilt of this jug
Flowers: inkberry, dahlia, hydrangea
