Humans with Bouquets: Grace

I've been a fan of Grace Bonney and her amazing blog Design*Sponge for several years now. Design*Sponge was one of the first major lifestyle blogs that I became aware of when I started blogging. It goes without saying that it is one of those corners of the web where I look for inspiration, and is a go-to source for nearly everyone that I deal with in the design world. I was really pleased when Grace said that she would participate in this series, and on a recent trip to NYC for some location scouting and event work, I stopped by Makeshift Society Brooklyn to catch her in her element.

To say that Grace is sweet would be an understatement, which is something that one already senses from reading Design*Sponge, and it was great getting to know her a little bit better in person. In my opinion, one of the admirable qualities about Grace is her desire and willingness to highlight artists and makers who otherwise might not be seen. Great examples of that are her "A Day in the Life" series as well as her usage of Instagram hashtags to share others' beautiful photos and talent on her well-followed feed.

I really love these poppies that I was able to find at the Chelsea Flower Market, and although I had had a peony-based bouquet in mind for Grace, I think that the poppies stole the show.

Thank you for being a part of the series Grace!
