I thought that I would share a couple of easy cherry blossom DIYs today and tomorrow prior to peak bloom being completely finished in most parts of the world. We are at the tail end of the season, but oh how I love the 4-6 weeks that we do get. Cherry blossoms are both beautiful and fragrant, and I will usually wait to work with them until they are really puffy and magical. In this DIY, I combine pink blossoms with a lantern to create an extremely simple, low-cost, and wonderfully contrasting arrangement.
I love using vessels that weren't originally meant for flowers, and this lantern with a vase placed inside really fits the bill nicely.
What you'll need
Begin by placing your vase inside the lantern
Trim to desired height, and place your first branch or two inside the vase
Continue trimming and adding branches until the desired fill has been achieved
It couldn't be more simple. Enjoy!
