English Garden Inspiration

Happy Friday friends! I have been in New York all week and it has been amazing. I never get sick of this city; there is always so much wonder around every corner! Today's DIY was inspired by the camellias growing in my garden and neighborhood right now. I think of camellia as the winter rose; it is just so beautiful and delicate. I wanted the arrangement to have a bit of an English garden look, so I included garden rose and used a wonderful urn as the vessel. Some fluffy pampas grass was added for height as well as to add to the dreaminess - completing the styling.

Flowers: camellia, garden rose, artichoke, pampas grass, andromeda, veronica Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Begin with the camellia branches. I used quite a lot of them, as I wanted the leaves to add fullness and a bright green color. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Continue with the andromeda. These are not quite yet flowering, and have a "lacy" look to them. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Start adding the garden roses - spreading them around the arrangement as desired. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com

Finally, finish with the artichokes and pampas grass. The artichokes lend a very natural and earthy garden feel, and the pampas grass adds height and a lovely ethereal quality. Kiana Underwood / tulipina.com
