Chic Dinner Table in Pink

Happy New Year my friends! I have missed you. I was on the road with my family to Texas and back (yes, 4300 miles / 6900 km of driving), so 12 days away from work and the blog seemed a world away. But, it sure was a lot of fun. I hope that you all had a fabulous holiday season as well. I am excited for all the new possibilities that this year has already presented. I also have some new ideas for projects which I will be blogging about and sharing with you over the next few weeks and months.

Earlier in December, my good friend Angie Cao and I, along with the amazing food stylist Alexa Hyman, got together and styled a lovely winter dinner table. It was great fun - here are the results!

As I was coming up with the theme for the floral styling, I simply imagined what I would want my winter dinner table to look like. I wanted to stay away from the typical winter and holiday red and green, but still wanted some color, so I chose pink - which always has availability in so many shades. (It didn't hurt that I found the most amazing anemones and ranunculus in pink!)

I used ornamental kale, mistletoe, ranunculus, anemone and scabiosa in one arrangement and for the smaller clusters I used only one or two kinds of flowers. I bought some inexpensive regular glass textured vases and painted them gold and I must say I love how they turned out.
