A Photo Tour of Hamburg's Isemarkt

This is a guest post by my friend Elodie who runs the wonderful lifestyle and floral blog Madame Love. She always has amazing floral posts on her blog, and I asked her if she would share a bit about where she gets her flowers and inspiration. - xo Kiana My name is Elodie and my blog is called Madame Love. I am French and I live in Hamburg, in the North of Germany - close to the Baltic sea.

I met Kiana online and wrote an article a couple of months ago about her beautiful flower blog. I was very happy when she asked me if I wanted to talk about my local market here in Hamburg where I usually buy my flowers for my bouquets.

The market I go to is called the Isemarkt, and is one of the oldest and longest in Europe, with over 100 stands. It is situated under a subway bridge, and can take place all year long, as it is protected from the rain. I love going there because they always have locally grown and seasonal flowers.

I hope these few pictures give you a taste of my adoptive neighbourhood and make you want to travel to that part of the world. Hamburg is a lot less touristy than the capital city Berlin, but it is a beautiful city that has a lot to offer. If you would like to read more about flowers in Hamburg, you can check out the flower guide I wrote for the online magazine sisterMAG.

I wish you a great day and thank you Kiana for having me on your blog!
